‘Tis Tales have been around a few years now, and since then, we’ve been building, building, slowly building our performances, as well as out audiences.
When we teamed up for the first time as Three Island Storytellers, the idea was to take tales out to wider audiences, and put the stories first. We quickly renamed as ‘Tis Tales to avoid confusion at Ventnor Fringe with The Island Storytellers gang show (the showcase activity for the more informal and “open to all, tellers and audience alike” monthly storytelling circle we’re all members of, along with others).
And now… well… keeping the stories first, ‘Tis Tales now has a new member, Merl Fluin, of the Island Storytellers parish. If you ever see ‘Tis Tales being advertised, then it’ll be three or more of us telling. In case there’s a teller a you particularly want to see, we’ll add the names of the tellers to the promo posters and flyers. But just as much, we hope that whenever you see a ‘Tis Tales show being advertised, you know you’ll be in for an evening of great tales from three or more great tellers, homegrown on the Isle of Wight…
